About
We turn the UK companies register into a live signal.
Around 2,300 UK companies are incorporated every working day. Buried in that stream is a list of businesses that will, in their first 90 days, need accounting, banking, insurance, software, marketing, premises and stock. Fledged turns that public stream into a filterable, alertable feed so professionals can be there at the right moment — with the right offer, to the right business.
What Fledged actually is
Fledged is a software-as-a-service platform that ingests new UK incorporations from Companies House in real time, enriches them with geographic and industry context, and surfaces them to subscribers through a fast search, saved filters and daily alerts.
We are not a list broker. We do not sell or build contact databases of directors. We do not enrich personal data with third-party scraped emails or phone numbers. We do not export officers in bulk. The product is a search and alert layer on top of public register data — the kind of tool a sales operations team, an accountant or a corporate broker would build for themselves if they had the time.
What you can actually do with it
Accountants and bookkeepers
See every new limited company in your postcode area, in your specialist sectors, the morning after it incorporates. Reach out before the second-year compliance push hits.
B2B sales teams (SaaS, fintech, banking, IT)
Build an ICP filter — SIC range, geography, director count — and have the daily matching list arrive in Slack or your CRM. Spend prospecting time on conversations, not on copy-paste from Companies House search.
Insurance brokers and IFAs
Pick up newly formed companies that fit your appetite (e.g. multi-director, specific SIC) before they buy their first policy. Postal outreach to a registered office is PECR-exempt and needs no contact enrichment.
Property professionals and commercial agents
Pinpoint newcos in a radius around a regeneration zone, a new business park, or a specific city. Track their growth signals through filings.
Marketing agencies
Use saved searches as an always-on lead engine for clients who target a particular vertical. Forty-eight hours after incorporation, you know about the company. So does your campaign.
M&A and corporate finance
Watch for incorporations that look like new vehicles for known buyers: directorship overlap with portfolio companies, overseas registered offices on multi-director rollups, specific SIC concentrations.
Why it's different
Combinable filters that actually combine
SIC code (hierarchical), postcode radius in miles, incorporation date range, director count, status. They stack. The result is a live shortlist, not 50,000 noisy rows.
Daily digests over the channels you live in
Email, Slack, or a generic webhook into your CRM. Saved searches run at 09:00 UK time. Open the message, click into the dashboard, act.
Compliant by construction, not by promise
Officer personal data is stored in a separate Postgres schema with a Postgres role that the application API cannot read from. Bulk-exporting officers is physically impossible — not a policy, a database privilege. The audit log is append-only.
One source of truth
All filtering is evaluated in Postgres against canonical data. Free-text on company name uses Meilisearch for typo tolerance. No split-brain between search index and filter index.
Where the data comes from
Companies House publishes the UK companies register under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We consume it three ways for resilience: backfill of the last 90 days via REST advanced search, a short polling window for live data, and once approved, the official streaming API for events as they happen. Postcode geocoding uses Ordnance Survey Code-Point Open. Industry hierarchy uses ONS SIC 2007. Both are free, both are attributed.
How we think about privacy
Company-level information (name, number, status, registered office, SIC, incorporation date) is corporate data and we treat it as such — searchable, filterable, exportable. Officer personal data (names, partial date of birth, correspondence address, nationality) is personal data and we treat it as such — viewable per company, in the browser, while authenticated, every view audit-logged, never bulk-exported, never enriched with third-party contact data.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interest. The full Legitimate Interest Assessment is published at /legal/lia.
Who we are
Fledged is operated by Fledged Technologies Ltd, a UK private limited company. We are a small engineering team based in the UK. We focus on one job: turning the public companies register into a tool professionals actually use every morning.
